Message from Larry,
You
are about to encounter a serious,
confusing, and intimidating process
that will affect your life for
years to come. Getting
a good attorney to go to court for
you may be the most important thing
you do now.
The
prosecutor reduces or dismisses charges in
certain cases only because there
is a real threat of losing the case at Trial. Without
an experienced attorney on the case, there
is no threat of the defendant winning at
trial and no reason for the prosecutor to
reduce or dismiss charges.
DUI Cases
There
are so many components to a DUI case that
everyone, no matter how high their blood
alcohol level, would benefit from consulting
with an experienced DUI attorney. I
see people in court everyday without an attorney
get sentences worse than what my clients
get. I also see people with very expensive
attorneys get the same deals they could have
gotten without paying thousands of dollars
for an attorney. This is why I offer
varying levels of services and prices depending
upon your particular situation.
Some
clients with first offenses and no aggravating
circumstances or charges (excessive speed,
high blood alcohol level, children in the
car, accident, prior suspended licenses,
etc.) may just need an attorney to review
the legal aspect of their case and explain
in simple language the criminal penalties
and driver's license suspension. A
lot of these clients hire me just to go to
court IN THEIR PLACE to avoid the aggravation
and humiliation of being in criminal court
, taking time from work, or traveling from
out of town. With an attorney, you
can resolve your DUI without ever having
to go to court personally. My
fee for this level of representation is low.

- - - - Clients
who have additional concerns such
as driver's license suspensions,
prior convictions, additional charges,
high blood alcohol levels, illnesses
or disabilities, who work or live
out of town, are under the age of
21, hold a class A driver's license, have
a professional license issued by
the State *,
and any other concerns, should
at a minimum discuss these concerns
with an attorney. Seemingly
small issues can make a big difference
in the disposition of your case
and can have a substantial impact
on you in the years to come. Only
an experienced DUI attorney can
fully counsel you about these
issues. My
fees for this level of service
varies depending on issues involved
but are reasonable and comparable
to other less qualified attorneys
in town.
People
with blood alcohol levels at or near .08
or other DUI's within the past 10 years should
definitely have an attorney represent them. There
are too many concerns to go into all of them
here, but hiring an attorney can often save
you more money than you pay the attorney. An
experienced attorney can often get your CHARGES
REDUCED or DISMISSED and SAVE YOUR DRIVER'S
LICENSE. If you fall into this category,
please call me immediately. The benefits
to you may far exceed my fees.
People
who are innocent of the charges or believe
the Police acted illegally have to have an
attorney pursue their rights in court, all
the way through a JURY TRIAL if necessary. I
can represent you in trial if necessary to
prove your innocence. My fees for
this vary depending on the circumstances.
I have been working
in the Sacramento and surrounding
area courts since 1992. I
have handled over three thousand
DUI cases on all levels from plea-bargains,
pre-trials, suppression motions,
jury trials, and DMV hearings.
I have handled DUI cases from both the defense
and the prosecution side. Prior to
going into private practice, I was with the
Sacramento District Attorney's Office, where
I prosecuted cases just like yours, including
numerous jury trials.
Because
of my experience in both prosecution
and defense of DUI cases, my thousands
of previous cases and numerous years
practicing in Sacramento and surrounding
area courts (Placer, Yolo, Amador),
I am uniquely qualified to handle
your case.
Other types of cases
Some
clients with misdemeanor charges
may just need an attorney to review
the legal aspects of their case and
explain in simple language the criminal
penalties and how to navigate through
the system. A
lot of these clients hire me just
to go to court IN THEIR PLACE to
avoid the aggravation and humiliation
of being in a criminal court, taking
time from work, or traveling from
out of town. With an attorney,
you can resolve your misdemeanor
case without ever having to go to
court personally. My
fee for this level of representation
are low.
Clients
who face felony charges, have prior convictions,
or have a professional license issued by
the State* have additional concerns and should
at a minimum discuss these concerns with
an attorney. Seemingly small issues
can make a big difference in the disposition
of your case and can have substantial impact
on you in the years to come. Only
an experienced attorney can fully counsel
you about these issues. My fees for
this level of service varies depending on
the issues involved but are reasonable and
comparable to other less qualified attorneys
in town.
